The comparison made by guys over at Androidcentral can seem rather odd, because one of the participants is not yet released, but we believe the comparison was made at the right time. Why? It is no news HTC is not in a good situation and is doing its best to attract more and more consumers, while Samsung is showing record sales numbers and its Galaxy Nexus smartphone is only winning from this deal. However, let’s leave aside all these talks, and see how these two pretty boys compete with each other with their rather impressive features.
As the HTC Titan II is not yet launched, I decided to make a change in the way we compare phones and introduce them one by one.
The Titan II’s two key features are the huge 4.7-inch S-LCD capacitive touchscreen and the 16MP camera with autofocus and a dual-LED flash. These specs, however, could frighten any other handset but not the Samsung Galaxy Nexus (it comes with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels, and is one of the first smartphones with a 720p screen).
But the Samsung Galaxy Nexus yields the HTC Titan II in terms of capturing, because the latter sports a camera with the most megapixels you can find on the market. Of course, it doesn’t mean this camera is good in all conditions. The HTC Titan II is packed with a 1.5GH single-core processor, which doesn’t allow users to record videos at more than 720p, thus it lacks the Full HD recording capability.
In some sense, these are two absolutely different smartphones, because the Galaxy Nexus is known for its Super AMOLED HD touchscreen, Android 4.0.2 Ice Cream Sandwich OS and 1.2GHz dual-core Cortex-A9 chip, while the Titan II managed to attract people with its 16MP camera and Windows Phone 7.5 Mango OS, which is as fast as you need. So which handset would you choose?
