Officially, Windows Phone 7 will not support third-party interfaces — the shell of all of the smartphones getting this updated OS will be virtually identical. Disadvantages are obvious: the users will have no choice, and manufacturers will lose competitive advantages. “Business Card” smartphones of HTC based on the Sense UI will not be an exception. But there is a compromise!
Metro UI supports custom panels. So why not to combine them with familiar elements? Adam Z Lein decided to try to implement something similar, and the result was this concept.
Let’s see what we got — hours of HTC Sense, animated weather, FootPrints… You can add any of the desired features, similar to a desktop tab from HTC.
Modified interface seems more familiar, and thus for the old users of the HTC Sense UI “moving” to a new version of the operating system will not be associated with discomfort.
