HTC Salsa with Facebook button

Yesterday at MWC 2011 HTC unveiled the details of its new “Facebook phone” that everyone has been talking about for several months. The words come to the HTC Salsa, which looks like other HTC’s Android smartphones, but this one has got a dedicated Facebook button allowing users to launch Facebook automatically.

The HTC Salsa also supports HTC Sense UI which works with Facebook’s service very successfully. The Facebook-branded button will glow if there is a freshly snapped photo, i.e. it makes users to be connected with their profile instantly.

If you want to update your status immediately, you just have to tap the button that will also help you to share photo or website, and check-in to a location. When you are listening music and tap the button, you can share the song with your friends, as it automatically initiates the song’s name, artist, album and other features.

According to HTC’s spokesman it runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread and comes with a 3.4-inch touchscreen with resolution of    480×320 pixels. There are also a 5MP camera on back of the phone, and a VGA camera on front for video chat.

Like other handsets announced at MWC by HTC the Salsa is going to be available from the beginning of Q2, but its price is not known yet. And we hope the company wouldn’t announce high prices for them as they are for those users who spend much time in social networking, I mean students.

Please, just don’t say that it can’t get any more ridiculous or you’ll get a HTC line-up next to the Facebook button you will get a “Like” button.
