HTC One X Torture Test

If you’re an Android or just a mobile-fan, what is your worst nightmare? It always starts with you happily buying a brand new phone with a luxurious slick screen and the set as light as feather. You walk in the streets showing it off to the world . . . .and than it happens . . . a second that lasts a century . . . CRACK!

The HTC One-X is one of the hottest items in Europe now and is expected to continue the path of fame in the US as well. Before the AT&T users start getting the phone in a full swing, some brave-hearts test its durability by turning the nightmare into a reality. A video made by HTCPedia guys features an HTC One X fall not once, or twice, but three times right onto the stony ground.

At the beginning a non-One X phone is tested, in the result of which all inside “organs” fly out of the set. Next is the One X, which is dropped from waist height the first time, escaping the death itself with just a few scratches. Then the phone is dropped from shoulder height . . . twice. The last attempt with screen facing the stone ends with a devastating sight of Gorilla Glass turning into a little monkey. The final drop leaves the screen all smashed and broken. Despite that, the phone works perfectly.

Interestingly, the very first phone was smashed into the floor, while One X was merely dropped. I wonder how would the first attempt end if the HTC flagship was smashed the same way.  If HTCPedia guys have another spare One X, this might be a good idea to make a smash test next time.

The fact worth mentioning is the unanimous body of the phone, which endured everything. This is the latest trend with all mobile manufacturers. Only, would you prefer to dive to assemble the parts every time the phone drops or have a 4.7-inch broken-screen after the third fall? This might give you an idea of phone features you most prefer, it’s design or durability.
