HTC One S Available in US via T-Mobile

The second One series handset, the HTC One S was first launched in Europe. And now, three weeks later, the phone is available in the US via T-Mobile. The One S was unveiled on February 27 at MWC 2012 and on March 1 passed through FCC. The only thing remaining unknown was the official launch date, which was protracted because of issues related to Snapdragon S4 chips.

The Magenta carrier announced it on April 18 claiming the phone would be available for purchase on the rumored April 25. The mentioned date has come with the carrier having kept its promise. The HTC One S is available in T-Mobile stores for $199.99 with a two year-contract.

The T-Mobile US HTC One S sports a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen with a qHD resolution, a dual-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, an 8MP camera with autofocus and LED flash, a VGA front camera for video chat, 16GB of native memory, 1GB of RAM, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with HTC Sense 4.0 and Beats Audio support. The HTC One S is one of the thinnest smartphones in the world coming in at the thickness of 7.95mm.

The phone can be purchased on contract and off contract. If you want to sign a two-year agreement with T-Mobile, the HTC One S will cost you $199.99, while the off-contract price is $599.99.
