HTC Investing in Digital Multimedia Delivery Company Safron Digital

HTC announces about the fact of having a strategic investment into the Safron Digital. This is a firm which develops multimedia content delivery system. The experts consider this fact to be a good way of getting into the media store gaming.

So far Safron Digital has been working with a list of interesting and popular companies including Paramount Digital Entertainment,  T-Mobile and such mobile giants as Sony Ericsson, LG and Nokia. All of these companies used the services of the SD in this or that way. Most likely in case of HTC the company will use digital content in the devices equipped with HTC Sense UI. This will turn into a point which will make some advantages to HTC in terms of  the advertisement. Unluckily cooperation with  Safron Digital will not give any kind of exclusivity to HTC, as the digital company will continue cooperating with other third party companies. But still the chance of having copy protected content videos to its customers is just another way of getting into the market as a leader. And if the digital content will also land to the tablets then HTC tablets will turn into real competitors of Apple’s iPad.
