HTC HD2 to Get Windows Mobile 7 for Free

Congrats guys! Finally good news for you – HTC HD2 owners. You’ll be able to upgrade your HD2 to latest WinMo7 FREE. This was reported to one of the visitors of forum xda-developers via an email by HTC. According to the Technical Support Division of HTC, Windows Mobile operating system version 7 is not ready yet and, accordingly, the updated firmware for the HTC HD2 is not ready, as well. Once it appears, though no earlier than in November, it can be downloaded for free.

But don’t get that happy yet! However, according to the recent data, the release of Windows Mobile 7 may be postponed until the beginning of the next year. Therefore, HTC HD2 can not get a firmware update in November, it could well happen later. By the way, HTC also made a similar statement on the issue on one of its Twitter blogs at the end of last year, informing about the free firmware update for the HTC HD2 when Windows Mobile 7 is released. Though, it should be noticed that this record has been removed.
