Good news for the owners of Sprint’s HTC EVO Shift 4G! HTC and Sprint have introduced a software update for the smartphone, fixing the MMS bug that didn’t let the users send messages. So now you can send the photos of your beloved cat (or any other photos) to your friends! ![]()
The update will move the software version of your HTC EVO Shift 4G to 2.76.651.5. As far as we know, the update will be available within these four-five days, before August 8 you’ll get a notification from Sprint. But if you’re in a hurry and don’t want to wait, go to Menu > Settings > System Update > HTC > Software Update > Check Now > OK > Yes. That’s all! ![]()

The HTC Evo Shift 4G is a really cool smartphone with a 3.6-inch capacitive touchscreen, the resolution of which is 480×800. It also has an 800MHz processor with 512MB of RAM, 2GB of ROM, a 5MP camera with auto-focus, LED flash and 720p HD video recording and many other great features (read more about them in our HTC EVO Shift 4G Review). Perhaps it’s only shortcoming was that MMS bug, but after the software update the phone will be almost perfect.
By the way, if you’re thinking of buying an HTC EVO Shift 4G, now’s the right time – Sprint’s offering it for free!
