HTC EVO 3D to be Released by Vodafone?

I think most of you have heard the rumors that one of the largest carriers, Verizon, has decided to get rid of the HTC EVO 3D. The carrier decided to cancel the release of the smartphone because of the problems that were caused by all those delays. Now Focus Taiwan claims that the smartphone will be released anyway.

The email from HTC reps said that the handset “will go on sale through Vodafone and distributors in six major European countries.” This doesn’t necessarily include UK, which means that the cancellation had to do only with Verizon UK. This is reasonable, as most of the UK carriers faced rather low sale rates when there were delays last year, so Verizon UK is not planning to follow their bad experience.

Vodafone UK is going to release another smartphone instead of the HTC EVO 3D — the HTC Sensation. It has similar specs, and the major 3D features are also available in the Sensation.

If you still wish to get the HTC EVO 3D in the UK, the retailers will be offering it sometime in September.
