HTC Vivid, packed with many awesome features and having all chances to become one of AT&T’s flagships, has gotten into trouble. (AT&T is currently offering the iPhone 4S and the Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket, but the Vivid doesn’t yield them in any aspect.) HTC has got a letter from adult movie maker Vivid Entertainment requiring to change the phone’s name, otherwise they’ll sue HTC.

This will in no way affect the Taiwanese company’s rating and popularity, but it’s a nasty situation, which must be solved somehow. In this regard, HTC America made an official announcement:
“We are reviewing the complaint and don’t expect to have any further comment until it is resolved.”
As you see the company is serious about it. There are a number of porn studios with different names. What if they decide to sue mobile manufacturers for using their brands? Almost all smartphones, including HTC smartphones, will have to be changed. This is unacceptable. We’ll soon see what solution HTC will offer. Keep up with us.
