ZoomBarPlus – Multifunction Touch Strip

Probably each owner of HTC Touch Diamond2 and HTC Touch Pro2 knows about the application, which allows you to activate the touch strip in many programs on your device and their main modifications. But this was not enough for one of the owners, thx1200, and he expanded the functionality of it!

Due to ZoomBarPlus you can adjust the sensor strip in accordance with your needs. Available gestures are: press, two button-press, long press, sliding left or right. At the same time the primary function is completely preserved – the change in the scale of programs.

“I wanted to get something like a virtual joystick. By default, the slipping to the right is equivalent to the low arrow, the slipping to the left – to the arrow above. Double-tap in the center is Enter, long-touch –Backspace. But you can configure the actions as you want!”- the author writes.

Also another feature of the program is the run as a service – so that it does not use any of the 32 precious slots for running processes.

Features of the current version:
- Beta release – stable work of the program is not guaranteed
- Appropriation of actions on tap, double tap, tap, long, sliding left and right are available
- Slip gestures can redo the actions which is just fine to emulate a longer press of the joystick down
- For the settings the registry editor is used (the configuration application will be released later)
- A slight consumption of resources (almost zero consumption of the processor)

Demonstration of ZoomBarPlus:

Settings of ZoomBarPlus:
All applications identified in [HKLM \ Software \ HTC \ SmartTouch] are ignored, so that ZoomBarPlus does not affect the scaling of touch strip
Settings are located in the branch [HKLM \ Services \ ZoomBarPlus]
To disable the option set it to zero.
At the time of testing after making changes it is necessary to restart the smartphone.
