The process of porting Windows Phone 7 on HTC HD2 is close to completion, the device is running the new version of mobile operating system just fine,without any malfunctioning.
The developer Cotulla in his blog said that WP7 on HTC HD2 supports following features: GSM, GPRS, camera, G-Sensor, USB, memory card, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and much more. The only thing that fails to function is the authentication of the software, which is being used for authentication in the Zune, Marketplace, Xbox Live and other services. It is quite possible that the key is “laid” on the motherboard devices.
According to the developers, it’s just a demo version of WP7, which come down only to discover the operating system. As Cotulla says they will adopt WP7 for HTC HD2 in the near future, but do not expect too much – without Live-services operating system is virtually useless.
