Windows Phone 7 vs iOS in a comparison video

These mobile OSs are the most debated platforms nowadays, so Zollotech decided to compare them. But since you haven’t watched the video yet, I have to say the comparison was made on the HTC 7 Pro, as I guess, and on the iPhone 4. Both smartphones are high-end devices and are worth to be compared.

The first feature compared in video is the boot time of the handsets, and here we cannot say any of the phones privileges the other. And generally Windows Phone 7 is too faster in performance, though it doesn’t mean iOS runs slowly. Probably such kind of impression is made by the difference of performance principles.

While Windows Phone 7 allows users to slide down/up, iOS comes with standard sliding direction – from right to left. And when the iPhone 4 starts up we see a homescreen and nothing else, but the HTC 7 Pro shows live tiles after booting. Besides tiles we can get some information about WiFi, or whether we have a new email or not, which is seen directly on the homescreen. Tiles are the main changes made in Windows Phone 7, and the apps viewed on the screen instantly show the updates in them.

If you want to replace any tile, you just have to tap and hold it, then drag it wherever you want, after just tap on it to confirm your actions. If you want to see more apps, you need to slide left and chose the desirable program to run, or once you tap and hold the app item, a contest menu appears allowing you to uninstall it, to get an information about it. The deal is different with iOS, and after sliding left we see all available apps in shortcut view, and if there are app folders, we can tap and hold to view the folder content. They are shown in smaller items.

Both the platforms allow the users to gather all your email accounts in one place, and we can say the general features are almost the same for both devices. WP7 and iOS provide a quite fast web browsing, though we can mention the iPhone 4 was a little faster than the HTC 7 Pro in the video. But the last offers Voice search features that work enough effective, so I was impressed with it.

So I guess you like the HTC 7 Pro in action, and you’ll agree with me that this handset offers great features, and first of all Windows Phone 7 “suits” the phone.
