A couple of months ago, the owners of smartphones with the Android operating system were introduced to the mobile version of the famous audio player. During the testing period Winamp overgrown with new features (wireless synchronization to work with iTunes, Internet radio), and now developers have submitted an application officially!
Winamp 5.6 (PC version) has received a special panel for mobile device management, with which you can synchronize your library via a USB or Wi-Fi, as well as play music located on your device.
Winamp opportunities for Android:
- Sync (transfer music between devices via USB or WiFi)
- SHOUTcast (search and listen to any of the 40,000 radio stations)
- Widgets and Shortcuts (Standard Widget amended compact (4 × 1), plus – you can place shortcuts to your favorite playlists or control the playback with the screen lock)
- “Now Playing” (information about the song you quick access to online stores to buy albums)
- Queues (quick view and change the order of tracks)
- Integration with Last.fm
In addition, Winamp for Android has got the extended language support. The program has a Brazilian, Portuguese, English, French, German, Japanese, Polish, Romanian and Russian. The app is free and is compatible with the smartphones running Android 2.1 or higher (for SHOUTcast requires Android 2.2).
