The HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE was expected to arrive in the States on June 21, but it didn’t. Now Verizon’s Equipment Guide discloses some details regarding the launch of the upcoming HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE. According to the aforementioned source, the phone will hit Big Red’s shelves on July 5.
Though this smartphone seems to be ready for release, the most possible hypothesis why it still hasn’t seen sunlight is related to Verizon, which seems to not know when to release the phone not to prevent the launch events of more attractive smartphones. As you guess, I am talking about the Samsung Galaxy S III, which is set to be out via Verizon on July 11 and to cost $199.99 on contract. So if the most powerful Android handset is to come at such a price, then it makes no sense to sell a mid-range HTC device at the same price. I mean the price tag showed in the Equipment Guide, though most likely the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE will receive a $50 mail-in-rebate and this money is not included in the price.
At the end, anyone who will upgrade to a new smartphone at Verizon can use that popular unlimited data program. This simply means all buyers of the Samsung Galaxy S III and the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE will be exterminated and given a tiered data plan as a replacement.
