Verizon to Launch HTC Desire 4G LTE Smartphone

Recently we introduced the entire family of HTC’s Desire handsets but seems we’ve hurried with it as Engadget has posted an interesting screenshot showing Verizon’s device management system. The latter has always been a perfect place to grab news about upcoming smartphones, which are not announced yet. This case is no exception as the screenshot reveals Verizon is going to launch a mysterious device called the HTC Desire 4G LTE.

No one knows what handset we are dealing with but there are two things you should pay attention to. First, Verizon has announced it will launch only LTE devices, so it’s quite reasonable to wait for Verizon bounded smartphones with 4G LTE ending. Second, HTC has never talked about an exclusive Desire device for Big Red. So in all likelihood the HTC Desire 4G LTE is just Verizon’s variant of the HTC Desire X announced recently.

If it is so, the HTC Desire 4G LTE should sport a 4-inch WVGA screen, a dual-core 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, a 5MP snapper and 768MB of RAM on board. Moreover, the HTC Desire X was announced to be launched everywhere except for the US, so probably it must be renamed to the HTC Desire 4G LTE, that’s why the manufacturer didn’t say anything.
