Verizon HTC Trophy on March 24?

The HTC 7 Trophy is the company’s next flagship running on Windows Phone 7 platform. Its launch date has not been announced yet officially but we know it is in tester’s hands, has NoDo update, and as we know the Trophy will be available till the end of March, though there were some rumors claiming its launch month is June.

However, now we have some good news for those people who are waiting for the first Windows Phone device via Verizon. According to WPcentral, the phone will be on stores on March 24th. This means less than after two weeks we could get this much awaited smartphone.

This information comes from Android Central who got their hands evidently on a Verizon/third party vendor email. It was noted in the email that “Launch Dates Are subject to change”, so we can assume this is not a certain date. But if even this won’t happen in near future, Verizon has to explain many things at CTIA coming in a few weeks.

The HTC 7 Trophy is a Windows Phone 7-powered device, with 1 GHz processor, 512MB of ROM, 576MB of RAM, 8GB internal storage, but there is no microSD card to expand the memory. The phone captures with a 5MP camera with 2560х1920 pixels, autofocus and LED flash. The 1300mAh battery is too poor, as it provides only up to 3.5 hours of talk time and up to 435 hours of stand-by mode in 3G network.

Anyway, it’s quite anticipated smartphone is being waiting to be launched on March 24th.

Actually the HTC Trophy for Verizon has some revisions made to it now, and will come equipped with 16GB of internal storage and increased battery life. The changes are small, but significant. It is actually quite a good phone. Hopefully HTC will continue to produce high quality Android and WP7 phones like this… The only request I would have is that they match Samsung and Nokia in terms of the quality of the integrated camera in the phone.
