Yesterday Microsoft announced Windows Phone 8 mobile operating system, and the US carriers began announcing WP8-powered devices one after another. Verizon was no exception, and as expected, the HTC 8X will be launched on November 22 on Thanksgiving.
The HTC 8X will cost $199.99 on a two-year agreement. It’s a price we used to see for high-end smartphones, and that’s it — the HTC 8X is a top-end smartphone with amazing features, which will compete with the Nokia Lumia 920 and the Samsung Ativ S. It will come in black, blue or red.
As for the other Windows Phone 8 smartphone coming via Big Red, the Nokia Lumia 822 will hit the market on the same date at $99.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate. It’s the altered version of the original Nokia Lumia 820 that will be available via AT&T. The phone will be launched in black, grey or white.
Verizon has already said the Samsung Ativ Odyssey will hit the market on December but we have no info regarding the details. Ativ S Displayschutzfolie
