The HTC Desire HD was launched almost a year ago running Android 2.2, but even that time everyone knew the phone would be updated to Gingerbread as soon as possible. In February, 2011, everybody started talking about a possible upgrade by the end of the year. A little after it became clear the UK will be the first country where the Android 2.3 update for the HTC Desire HD will be rolled out.
This update was awaited in May, then someone said Three UK was going to bring Android 2.3 to the Desire HD in summer. But yesterday Three UK announced via its Twitter page that the above mentioned update is currently being pushed out over-the-air.
OTA updates don’t require PCs, so you just have to wait for a notification informing you about the availability of the update. It’s worth to remind you to back up your files before installing it — just in case…
If you haven’t received any notification yet, there is no reason to worry — you’ll most likely get it soon.
