Telus decided to roll out 8107 update for the HTC 7 Surround and the LG Optimus 7. The devices will finally get rid of the annoying keyboard disappearing bug. The update optimizes the overall performance of the devices.
To check the availability of the update connect your device via USB to the PC and use desktop Zune checking it in the settings.

It’s cool Telus is offering an update for an HTC device, which is no longer in production. The HTC 7 Surround comes originally packed with WP7 OS, a 3.8-inch display with a resolution of 800×480 pixels, a 1GHz single-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, geo-tagging and autofocus, 448MB of RAM and 512MB of ROM, 16GB of internal memory and support for microSD cards up to 32 GB. Not that bad for a handset launched back in December of 2010.
