The handset is good in processing, everything looks perfect and we can say there are not any obvious gaps. Though Areamobile assumes there is some issues related with slide mechanism, but personally I don’t think so.

When you slide the screen, it is automatically placed at an angle of about 40 degrees.  This is very comfortable for working, but it doesn’t look durable. Anyway, this kind of sliding gives an impression we take a mini-computer in our hands.

The HTC 7 Pro comes with a full QWERTY keyboard, which we can meet rarely nowadays. This keyword provides a very good pressure point of keys, but the distance between keys is too short. Plus, the individual handles are countered o weak so they can’t be optimal sensing.  So we can say the keyboard is the weakest features of this awesome phone.

The device is equipped with a 3.6-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 800×480 pixels. The HTC 7 Pro runs Windows Phone 7, 1GHz processor and supports 576MB RAM, 8GB memory storage. There are also a 5MP camera and a 15mAh which provides up to 7 hours of talk time and up to 420 hours of stand-by mode in 3G network.

The HTC 7 Pro is available via O2 for €569, which is an expected price for this handset.

The device is almost the identical with the earlier gadget HTC Touch Pro 2, while instead it has the newest OS and the most usefully- a physical keyboard. This is the main advantage as for me.

Anyways the price of the device is not announced yet, but we do not expect it to be low as HTC 7 Pro is announced to be among the top 5 WP7 gadgets for now.

The year is almost over, so it’s time for many companies to look back and see what they have achieved during the year and make plans for the future.

The Taiwanese HTC remained true to itself and continued to produce “smart” devices in 2009. In particular, in 2009 there were updated versions of classic HTC smartphones — the HTC HD2, the HTC Touch Diamond 2 and the HTC Touch Pro 2. Particular success was achieved by the HD2 with its huge 4.3 inch capacitive screen of 480×800 resolution, 1 GHz processor, a 5 megapixel camera and the Sense UI.

However, HTC also emerged in radical changes — part of its production was changed from using the familiar Windows Mobile to Android operating system. Including the HTC Hero, which combines good functional specifications (5 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, GPS, and many others) with a stylish design. Another interesting model of the company is the relatively inexpensive HTC Tattoo, which is also running the operating system from Google.

Moreover, despite the relatively low price, this functional specs of the smartphone were not so bad, taking into consideration the presence of a 3.2 megapixel camera with auto-focus, the support for microSD memory cards, FM-radio, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS modules.

In general, the trend of the transition to the Android in the HTC products is systemic in nature – from the eight smartphones scheduled for the first half of the next year five will be running the operating system from Google, which clearly shows that Android will be present in HTC smartphones for a long time and in some cases will be replacing Windows Mobile.

Of course we’ll have a much more detailed report on HTC’s performance in 2009; above we are just rejoicing seeing how our beloved brand is growing and growing from a local producer of phones to one of the world’s top device makers.

New Touch Diamond2 and Touch Pro2 on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional have been announced by HTC at Mobile World Congress in 2009 and are already available to us. Both are improved versions of HTC Touch Diamond and HTC Touch Pro, released a year earlier

Both smartphones are based on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional OS and have TouchFLO 3D newest UI over it.

Touch Diamond 2 is considered a higher end device with many features brought to consumers for the first time.

Specifications of Diamond2 are at a decent level: the device has a Qualcomm MSM7200A 528 MHz processor, 288 megabytes and 512 MB of internal memory, 3.2-inch touch screen with a resolution of 480×800 dots, an updated powerful 5-megapixel camera, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi – Fi, battery of 1100 mAh, accelerometer, FM-radio. The device currently uses microSDHC cards as the memory card. You can use it in GSM/ GPRS/EDGE and HSDPA/WCDMA networks. Dimensions of the smartphone are 107, 85х53,1×13, 7, and it weighs 117.5 grams.
