Today T-Mobile launches its new flagship, the HTC Amaze 4G. Two days ago the carrier began getting pre-orders for the phone, and now all those lucky beggars who managed to reserve one for them will “put their hands” on this stunning device. Probably, many geeks who are unaware of this smartphone think that’s the next Android device launched by the company and why pay more, but they are wrong. Delusion… The HTC Amaze 4G unboxing will help them go out from the “coma.”

At first I want you to take a quick look at its price, $259.99. That’s much, but the HTC Amaze specs list includes features, which not only make it perfect, but also make it shine and be noticed among the rest. It’s packed with a 4.3-inch qHD touchscreen, 16GB of ROM, 1GB of RAM, an 8MP camera with dual-LED flash, which also records Full HD videos at 1080p, a 2MP secondary camera for video calls, a 1.5GHz Scorpion dual-core processor with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 chipset (this is the latest version of the S series chipsets, as the fourth generation of them was announced only yesterday) and a 1730mAh battery.

It’s not a secret the HTC Amaze 4G runs Android 2.3.4, which is also the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system. I believe the device would become a king in the market, if the developers had added Sense 3.5 UI, unfortunately we have to be satisfied by v3.0.

Well, if what I said, didn’t change your mind, and you still want to keep up with your old HTC, then the video below will make you reconsider your views, undoubtedly.

The HTC Rhyme was launched at the end of September via Verizon for $199.99. Taking into account its features, that’s a quite affordable price for this Android-powered device. Anyway, if it is much for you, Target Mobile has a special offer — the retailer will shave $50 off its price if you trade in any working phone and sign a two-year contract.

Interestingly, any working phone regardless of when it was launched and what features it’s packed with will get Target. The only condition is the phone functions. I advise you to buy the HTC Rhyme at such a price, because besides the high-class features, it also comes with the charging dock station, tangle-free headphones, and the nifty charm notification tool. What the consumers must know is that the HTC Rhyme runs the latest version of Android, v.2.3.4 with the latest version of HTC Sense UI, v.3.5. I guess there is no need to say for whom this smartphone is designed, because the color itself loudly speaks about it — it’s the first Android-based smartphone launched especially for ladies.

Well, everything is perfect and Target Mobile finally launched the HTC Rhyme, as it has been announced earlier, but no retailer will give you such a gift. So hurry up to recycle your old phone and to get a new one in the face of the HTC Rhyme, because the offer is valid until October 15.

The “giant-phone” — the HTC Inspire 4G — is getting an over-the-air update, a promise-come-true from AT&T. The carrier promised to update all smartphones released in 2010 that didn’t come with Android 2.3, so the update of the HTC Inspire 4G to Android 2.3.3 is not a surprise.

The smartphone started to prepare for getting Android 2.3.3 update back in April, when the device got a minor update enabling the HSUPA mode and making web-browsing faster.

Perhaps many of you have already received the notification about the update. The actual update started last Thursday while the official statement came only yesterday. Those who didn’t receive the notification can always stick with the manual check up option or just download the 269MB RUU from HTC.

The newest version of the OS will bring in lots of good features to the powerful 4.3-inch device with an 8MP camera and a 1GHz processor. The most charming feature is still the latest version of the HTC Sense. The rest of the fixes and updates are the following:

Hotmail, Live, and MSN email auto configuration settings update.

Makes the email set up process much easier and includes the most current settings for each type of email.

Increased potential data speed at which data can travel on the network.

HTC is planning a big event on September 1. I guess we’ll hear many exciting news from the company during the event, but yet we don’t know what exactly it is devoted to, so we can only make assumptions… Many geeks think the HTC Puccini will be introduced on September 1.

HTC has launched several awesome smartphones during the last quarters, and there is nothing rumored besides the aforementioned tablet. This device will run Honeycomb and make a competition to such tablets as the Motorola Xoom and the Samsung Tab. Anyway, the tablet has passed FCC approval, which means it has all the chances to be in the center of attention on September 1.

However, we don’t think at a “big” event HTC will introduce only one product. So it is quite expected the new version of Sense that will work on Honeycomb will be demonstrated, too. Earlier it was rumored that a quick update to Ice Cream Sandwich will appear in August, but probably the developers didn’t manage and it was delayed till September 1.

And what do you think about the event?

Yesterday when I was talking about the arrival of the HTC Wildfire S to T-Mobile’s stores, no launch date and price info was available. After several hours the carrier officially announced that this handset will become available starting from August 3 and will cost only $79.99 with a two-year contract (that also comes with the Classic rate plan).

I’ve already written about the key features of the HTC Wildfire S, so there is no need to repeat them once again. Instead I decided to introduce you some other features. The smartphone is very compact in size and really light in weight — it measures only 101.3×59.4×12.4mm. Moreover, if you can pick holes in its hardware features, the phone’s software is perfect — it has Gingerbread, HTC Sense (most likely in the latest version) and Swype that comes pre-installed.

At last, T-Mobile will offer only the white version of the phone leaving Walmart and Sam’s Club to provide the exclusive black model of the HTC Wildfire S.

Moreover, the device will come with Gingerbread pre-installed, which will also ensure the smartphone’s success.

The HTC Wildfire S is packed with a 3.2-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 320 x 480, a 5MP camera, 512MB of RAM and ROM, a microSD card slot to expand the memory up to 32GB, a standard 1230mAh battery and others. The phone will run an undisclosed version of the HTC Sense which makes us think it can be one of the last ones.

The carrier doesn’t mention any launch date or price, but all we are sure the Wildfire S won’t cost much to make some sense for the users to buy it, otherwise they will chose other handsets with stronger features.

HTC has announced that the GSM version of the HTC EVO 3D will be launched in Europe in July, 2011. Most likely, first of all the smartphone will appear in the UK – Vodafone has already said they’ll launch it very soon.

We guess the specs of the HTC EVO 3D haven’t changed: It has a 4.3-inch qHD parallax barrier 3D display, famous for showing glasses-free 3D imagery, a rear-facing 5MP camera that can record 1080p HD and 720p 3D videos, 1GB of internal memory and 1GB of RAM.

It runs Android Gingerbread and has the famous HTC Sense 3.0 UI (which, by the way, runs faster on the HTC EVO 3D than on the HTC Sensation). However, Vodafone has introduced a video with the HTC EVO 3D, showing the stock Gingerbread launcher instead of our beloved HTC Sense 3.0. We really hope it’s a mistake or some trick, and the smartphone will come to the UK with the famous UI.

Vodafone hasn’t announced the price of the HTC EVO 3D yet, but the carrier usually offers high-end HTC devices for free (with a two-year contract), and we hope they’ll do the same with this smartphone.

As for the release of the HTC EVO 3D in Germany and France, no news from the local carriers yet… No news to please those who’re waiting for HTC’s first 3D smartphone in Asia and Middle East, but we hope the smartphone will soon arrive there, too. After all, HTC always tries to release its smartphones in as many countries as possible.

It seems like the HTC Flyer is coming to T-Mobile. Why do we think so? Well, first of all, during the visit of this HTC tablet to FCC it came out that it has 1700MHz frequency support for 3G data, and this is the band T-Mobile’s using.

Besides, there are rumors that the HTC Flyer is really coming to the U.S. on July 6, most likely via T-Mobile. It’s actually the first time an exact date is mentioned, but we can’t be sure it’s true, so we’ll find it out in a couple of weeks — just be patient.

The HTC Flyer, the first tablet of the Taiwanese company, is only 7 inch (with 1024×600 resolution), which is much smaller and much more comfortable than many other tablets in the market. It has a 1.5GHz single-core processor, 1GB of RAM and a 5MP camera. The HTC Flyer runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, but later it’s going to be updated to Android 3.0. As you could have expected, it runs the famous HTC Sense UI, too. Besides, the HTC Scribe – a special stylus for drawing and writing on the tablet – is also worth mentioning.

Let me remind you that the Wi-Fi version of the HTC Flyer is already available for about $500, and now the 3G version is coming. I don’t know for sure how much it will cost, but I guess it will be more expensive than the Wi-Fi version.

French designer Antoine Brieux, who has created the concepts of the HTC Tube (smartphone, tablet PC and notebook), introduces a more modest concept of a flagship smartphone. The device is called the HTC Blast, and it’s based on a real HTC flagship — the HTC Sensation, but still has a number of differences.

The first difference is the larger display; its diagonal is 4.7 inches. The screen size did not affect the size of the smartphone, as the author has left out the standard physical keys at the bottom of the front panel, and now they appear on the screen. The smartphone uses the HAND POWER technology, which allows you to activate the screen without physical buttons. The resolution of its AMOLED display is 1280×720 pixels.

The HTC Blast is based on a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8660 and an Adreno 220graphics chip. The memory comes with 1 GB of RAM and ROM, a built-in 32 GB hard drive and a slot for microSD. It also has two cameras: The main one is located on the rear panel, it is 12 megapixel with dual LED flash and captures videos at 1080p; there is also a 3.2 megapixel front camera for video calls.

The HTC Blast operates on 3G and 4G, and supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and all of this lays on the shoulders of the 1800 mAh battery. And, of course, the main surprise of the concept is the fact that the smartphone is running Android 3.0 Honeycomb, which is intended only for Tablet PCs. The pre-installed Android interface of the HTC Blast is surely the HTC Sense.

HTC announced the Evo 3D at CTIA 2011 in March. Three months have passed, but we don’t know much about this awesome handset yet. Almost all we know comes from rumors. Anyway, its launch day gets closer because recently the phone got FCC approval, which means we can get our hands on it very soon.

Its features that were announced officially include a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 4.3-inch qHD touchscreen that will help a 5MP rear-facing camera to record and perform 1080p HD or 720p 3D videos. The smartphone also has a 1.3MP front facing camera without 3D recording functionality, of course. The HTC Evo 3D is a high-end Android smartphone with the latest updated version of the HTC Sense (probably). And… nothing , that’s all we know about it!

Though many key features are unknown, people already hurry to pre-order it. Radioshack started to get pre-orders on May 18 for $199.99, and besides this offer the exclusive carrier of the HTC Evo 3D — Sprint — had announced its initial price, $699.99. There is also Best Buy’s offer, so as you see the HTC Evo 3D is a much awaited smartphone, and it is not accidental, and I guess once the HTC Evo 3D is launched, it will become a leader, because there is no other handset with such capabilities. Moreover, if the phone doesn’t run Gingerbread, it wouldn’t be a shortcoming, because in addition to its perfect features the Evo 3D also supports Sprint’s WiMAX network. Well, this will pick a jackpot!

Source
