In the end of July we heard that the HTC Wildfire S is going to be released by T-Mobile U.S. And on the following day we found that the device will be released on August 3. So the handset is already available from T-Mobile US for only $79.99 with a 2-year contract. The contract-free version of the device will cost $279.99.
The HTC Wildfire S can not be included in the list of high-end HTC smartphones, but it can not be called a bad device either. The list of the features of the handset is limited, and you will not be able to find such cool features as multiple cores, 3D, HD — these are the main features of more advanced smartphones.
The HTC Wildfire S will not be able to capture HD videos, but its 5MP camera is still pretty good for taking pics. The processor of the handset is poor, it’s only 600 MHz, this means that the handset will be suitable only for something like playing online games (including the all-favorite Angry Birds) and basic web-surfing.
The rest of the features of the Wildfire S include a 3.2 inch HVGA display, Android Gingerbread, the Swype technology and the HTC Sense UI.
