T-Mobile getting pre-orders for HTC Amaze 4G at $259.99

As it was announced earlier T-Mobile will be getting pre-orders for the HTC Amaze 4G starting October 10 and will be released on October 12. That sounded a little bit strange, because the HTC Amaze is the current flagship of the carrier. Moreover, taking into account the phone’s not going to be cheap we can assume it’ll take a little more time for users to decide whether the phone is worth buying or not. Anyway, yesterday T-Mobile started getting the first pre-orders requiring $259.99 for the phone.

The HTC Amaze 4G is packed with a 4.3-inch qHD touchscreen with a resolution of 960×540 pixels, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in memory, an 8MP rear-facing camera that is able to record Full HD videos at 1080p and is powered with a dual-LED flash, a 2MP front-facing camera for video calls and so on. The device is a “beast” in terms of connectivity. It features Bluetooth 3.0, 802.1 b/g/n WiFi, a built-in NFC chip and supports T-Mobile’s 4G HSPA+ network. Plus, the HTC Amaze 4G is powered with the latest version of Android OS, v 2.3.4.

As you see, the HTC Amaze is equipped with all the best specs. So it’s worth its price. But let’s not forget the iPhone 4S will be launched almost simultaneously and at a lower price. It’s something the carrier must be worried about. Anyway, the first weeks will show whether there’s a handset able to prevent the Amaze from conquering the world or not.
