Sprint Offers Its Version of HTC One X Called HTC Jet

There are rumors that the HTC One X will get launched as HTC Jet via Sprint, the third largest carrier in the US. No surprise the One X lands on Sprint stores. What makes us surprise is the name Jet, which was actually leaked for Samsung. The novelty is expected to get launched on June 10.

The source doesn’t say the Jet and the One X are the same handsets. But the identical specs, including the presence of the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chipset and NFC capabilities give us a hint that they are.

The HTC Jet is announced to use a 4.7 inch  720p display protected with Gorilla Glass, a dual-core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon processor and 1GB of RAM. As we see the device will lack quad-core Tegra 3 processor due to the LTE connectivity issues faced by NVIDIA chipsets. We’ll have the same situation for the phone’s AT&T option as well.

The model will be Sprint’s third device coming with LTE connectivity. The main dilemma Sprint customers will face will be around the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, which comes in April, and the LTE HTC Jet.
