Sprint HTC EVO 4G Officially Available, Priced $199

“History will be made across the nation as anxious customers get their hands on America’s first 3G/4G wireless phone,” says Sprint’s press release, announcing that starting today the customers can get the EVO 4G paying only $199.99, with a two-year service agreement and after a $100 mail-in rebate (taxes excluded) with a new line activation or eligible upgrade.

It’s here! And it’s available both in Sprint retail stores and online, at Best Buy, RadioShack and WalMart stores.

The HTC EVO 4G features the increasingly popular Android platform, offering more than 50,000 apps, and a mind-blowing list of features, with a 4.3-inch display, an 8 megapixel camera, two-way video calling and personal Wi-Fi hotspot features all powered by Android 2.1 (no Froyo) on a 1GHz Snapdragon processor.

The HTC EVO 4G users will have an assortment of accessories to select from beginning today, including a variety of stylish carry and protection solutions to protect the 4.3-inch screen, a range of hands-free headsets, access to a spare battery and an extensive selection of charging solutions so that they never run out of power whether at home, in the office or in the car.
