There are several handsets in the market supporting the 4G network, but they are all in black, and only HTC decided to launch one of its flagships in another color. If you are familiar with HTC smartphones, you should already know that the HTC Inspire 4G is going to be launched in red, too. Now we manage to find out that RadioShack will offer it for $49.99.
Earlier we informed you about this deal, but that time the contract details were unknown. Probably it will be offered with the same conditions as the black version was, but with a really nice price cut. The original version of the HTC Inspire 4G was launched back in February via AT&T for $99.99 — it is quite an affordable price for such a smartphone, I think! But then RadioShack reduced the HTC Inspire 4G’s price to 29.99, and it became clear it’s a part of AT&T’s strategy to involve more customers, as Verizon’s HTC Thunderbolt was more popular at that time. So the red HTC Inspire 4G is another step to make an impression on those potential buyers who have not decided which 4G smartphone to buy.
This is not an official statement as the information comes from a blurry picture posted on PocketNow, but it looks rather believable. I guess people won’t mind paying $50 for a handset providing a 4.3-inch touchscreen, 4GB internal memory, 768MB of RAM, 8MP camera, 1GHz processor and running Android 2.2, will they?
