New HTC Flagship Phone To Hit UK and USA On February 19th

The new HTC flagship phone will hit the UK and USA markets in New York and London respectively on the 19^th of February. This is good news for mobile enthusiasts who are eagerly waiting for the new HTC phone to be released in the market. Industry sources have released this news on Thursday. HTC has sent out invites for press events in both these venues one day ahead however it did not mention the name of the device. Sources from the company however confirmed that the above device is the M7.

This is the first time in the history that the Taiwanese Company has introduced a brand new Android mobile phone model in the United States and the United Kingdom. This was stated by Benjamin Ho, the new chief marketing officer of HTC. Analysts in the industry have stated that this new arrangement symbolizes the strong determination of the company to stage a return to the markets of USA and Europe. HTC for a while was not seen with new releases and so one is a highly anticipated one!

HTC has been ranked as the No 4 smartphone vendor for 2012 with shipments amounting to 32.6 million units. This amounts to about 4.6 % of the market share across the globe. This data has been revealed by International Data Corp that is a USA based firm focused on market research. Both the above figures had witnessed drops from a record high in 2011 when the shipments of the company has reached around 43.6 million units with a market share standing at around 8.8%.

HTC has officially introduced its flagship One handset series at a big press conference at the MWC of 2012 that hit off in Barcelona. The design and devices launched are enough to influence some of the 2012 device portfolio of the company. This time HTC has gone a step further and has decided to launch the HTC M7 a week before the opening of the MWC. There are further rumors of another leading smartphone manufacturer Samsung Electronics Corp of South Korea who is scheduled to release its brand new flagship device at a big media event in Jakarta in Indonesia much ahead of the Mobile World Congress that is going to be inaugurated on the 25^th of February this year. There also will be a host of other new entrants at the event. The HTC M7 is one of them and all set to steal the show.
