More HTC Devices to Get Android 4.0 ICS

Feels like HTC has plans to offer Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for all of its last generation handsets. If initially the list included only a few models, which were enhanced by four last week, then now we have more Verizon handsets joining the list — the HTC Rhyme (originally purple device basically targeting female segment of the market), the HTC Thunderbolt and the Droid Incredible 2.

Initially, the list also included the same Verizon brand HTC Rezound coming with Beats Audio.

The update might also be delivered to the Canadian HTC Raider currently offered by both Rogers and Bell. The updates are planned to be delivered sometime in coming weeks.

Interestingly, we got the info via HTC’s official Facebook page. I believe this way the manufacturer’s attempting to keep its fans, especially the young, more connected to the company.

Once the updates are delivered to the mentioned handsets, HTC will turn into a leader among manufacturers offering Android 4.0 ICS based handsets, which is pretty cool as on the whole it was the first company to offer an Android based handset.
