Kernel Codes for HTC Sensation, Sensation XE and Vivid Available

There are only a few HTC smartphones capable of running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS. As you know several HTC Sensation and Sensation XE owners have been granted an opportunity to test the first bunch of updates. Later it became clear the HTC Vivid was getting its dose of update but  not everyone could download it because there was a secret dial code activating the process. The rest of the smartphones will soon get their updates, meanwhile the aforementioned three handset owners can even download the kernel codes for their smartphones.

Kernel code is the basic part in every operating system. It acts as a bridge between apps and actual data processing carried out at hardware level. So it’s of utmost importance for developers, though it must be of no interest to simple users.

The process of releasing kernel source codes after an update is a part of HTC’s strategy. With this move it attempts to be closer to consumers and show it cares about them. As soon as the new codes are available we will inform you.
