When there’s a killer phone planned to come out soon, and you’re counting the seconds to its launch, try to ask and you will have it. Maybe AT&T will see your sufferings and sell you one earlier.
Do you think it can’t happen? Oh yes, it can, moreover, it has already happened to the luckiest AT&T customer, who now owns the HTC One X. As the launch will take place on May 6, there can be only three reasons for the purchase. Firstly, some AT&T stores have apparently mistaken the schedule and thought the phone is already out. Secondly, the guy had some good friends at the store. And finally, he either possesses impressive persuasive skills or has stolen a magic wand.
The customer has not only bought the you-know-what but has also signed a 2-year contract for $199.

Now, it looks like some of us have the wrongest conception of US carriers. We think they are mean and keep everything super-secret before the launch, make us jealous with display models and so on. If you’re sitting and cursing yourself for being the most unlucky person among AT&T customers, think a moment. The guy just asked for the phone, and they gave it to him. Perhaps you should try to ask for one at your AT&T store.
One thing is sure, as the news spread across HTC blogs in a day, the seller will definitely have to do some tough explanation to AT&T. We cross our fingers for him or her, and we know he/she just wanted to make an HTC One X fan happy.
