The HTC One X+ is rumored to come with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box, and it will be the first HTC smartphone to run this version of Google’s mobile operating system. Unfortunately, there are very few leaks regarding this handset, so we have to look at other smartphones that have most chances to get JB update. Considering software updates first come to the top-end devices, we assume the most probable HTC devices to get Jelly Bean are the One X and XL because they are the current flagships of the manufacturer.
MoDaCo reports, the HTC One X and XL will receive Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update in October. The info is rather welcomed but much earlier we heard the aforementioned phones would get JB update in December. At first sight these two rumors contradict to each other but we should take into account the fact that any update is first provided to manufacturers and only then to carriers. In this respect, carriers might launch it a month later, or never at all. So maybe the Taiwanese manufacturer will get it next month while the carriers will launch it much later.
