Ice Cream Sandwich Ported to HTC Thunderbolt

Yesterday I talked about the HTC Thunderbolt currently getting its Gingerbread update. But as you know a few days ago Google announced the fourth generation of its mobile operating system, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and Android 2.3 can’t please HTC users, regardless of how good it is. So an Android enthusiast with the handle Jdkoreclipse decided to develop a custom ICS ROM for the HTC Thunderbolt.

Of course, you can always try it out and feel the pleasure of using Android Ice Cream Sandwich, but I recommend that you wait a little more, because the port is very rough as of now — thus the touchscreen has yet to be enabled. But you don’t have to get upset because the development process is underway and in coming days or weeks we’ll be able to get our hands on it.

Nevertheless, at this moment you can check out our HTC Thunderbolt review and Ice Cream Sandwich feature rundown to find out what a beast the most expensive Android-flowered device can turn into. Moreover, you can visit Rootzwiki to follow the ongoing development progress.
