There aren’t many applications designed for Android-based phones on the Market, but some of them are really attractive. HTC is trying to make it’s users’ life easier and offers its own software of the HTC Sync. Its main purpose is the smartphone synchronization with MS Outlook, but also it can be used to install software.
The first step is to download and install the HTC Sync. Or you can connect the smartphone to the PC via USB and run the installer from the memory card that comes with the device.
Before installing the application it is recommended to disable the antivirus, but in my case, when running MS Security Essentials, everything went without a hitch, so no worries!
The installation process takes quite a long time, especially the “HTC driver setting.” Sometimes it seems that the program is not responding, but you just need patience to get the desired apps.
After the setup you should run the program and select the HTC Sync in the information panel of the device. Now you can specify the name of the phone and sync. But this is not the most interesting part of the process. Let’s pay more of attention to the Applications menu.
First of all, of course, you need to find and download the required application from the web.
Select the desired file and click “Next.” Naturally, in the phone’s settings you need to allow installation of applications from any source, or the program will give an error.
The last step is to confirm the installation of the application on the device. As you can see, nothing complicated, and the users of HTC phones can do without the Market. On the other hand, its presence has some advantages: all programs are cataloged, there are user reviews, screenshots, ratings and a convenient search engine.
Of course, it should be noticed that this method works only for the devices from HTC.
