Google has not yet provided the source code of the latest mobile operating system, but the users have the opportunity to install the new firmware from Android 2.3. Yesterday, it boasted HTC Desire, and today – its younger brother, the smartphone HTC Wildfire.

Alike HTC Desire, Android 2.3 on HTC Wildfire is ported with emulator from SDK (set of developer tools) and is not suitable for everyday use. Although, if your needs are reduced to phone calls and sms then you’ll be fine.
At the moment, HTC Wildfire from Android 2.3 is able to:
- Call
- Respond to touch screen
- To work with SMS
- Connect to USB (not in mass storage mode)
- Internet access (you need to install an access point)
- To work with a memory card
Sensors, camera, Wi-Fi / Bluetooth are not working. But this is only an early build. Main purpose is the introduction to Android 2.3 to the real device. But for the full-featured portal you will have to wait.
