The Android 2.2 FOTA (Firmware Over the Air) update for the smartphones HTC Wildfire and HTC Legend is already released. The owners of the mentioned HTC smartphones will get a pop-up notification, once the update is made available.
The update will proceed via a data connection* (Wi-Fi or 3G/GPRS), so you should only receive and install it. The HTC Wildfire’s build number is “2.24.707.1.” and the HTC Legend “3.15.707.3.”, this is in case you would like to check the correctness of the update installed.
