Due to its 4G LTE support the HTC Vivid used to be the most powerful device at AT&T. It was so until the launch of the HTC One X. To prolong the life of this device AT&T has plans to offer a new software update. The update will be rolled out in coming weeks. It will bring HTC Sense 4.0 UI to the handset. Consequently, the device will soon be capable of using Beats Audio system.
The new software update will allow Android 4.0 ICS OS experience on the handset making it a great option for purchase. Obviously, paying only $99.99 for an Android 4.0 ICS handset sounds great.
It will take some time before the HTC One X is brought to the carrier’s store, therefore at some point the HTC Vivid will turn into a bestseller at AT&T.
The HTC Vivid comes with a 4.5-inch S-LCD display with a resolution of 540×960, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, an 8 megapixel camera with Dual-LED flash and 1080p video recording capabilities, a 1.3 megapixel front-facing shooter, 16GB of internal storage and microSD support up to 32GB. AT&T stores offer the handset both in white and black options.
