Dragon is the symbol of China and this creature has been protecting the country for ages now. HTC couldn’t dismiss this fact and has announced a new series of smartphones dubbed Dragon, which will be available only in this territory.
The HTC Dragon lineup will be the same One designed for China but with less powerful features. For example, Dragon handsets will sport 4-inch touchscreens, 5MP cameras, 1GHz single-core processors, Beats Audio support and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with HTC Sense 4.0. Seems these smartphones won’t come with HTC ImageSense, which makes the phone cameras out of competition.
Though HTC Dragon family was said to be launched only in China, there are plans to expand the line’s geography bringing it to more countries. At the moment, there are only several carriers ready to meet the Dragon handsets — China Telecom, China Unicom and China Mobile.
More info will be available in coming months, so stay tuned and you’ll be the first to know about how HTC will promote its Dragon series. And lastly, if the company works a bit harder and makes awesome design for the line, it can succeed as the idea itself is perfect.
