HTC To Become One of Top 4 Smartphone Manufacturers

HTC CEO Peter Chou believes that the global financial crisis will not affect the sales of smartphones in Europe. For now the company shows steady growth, and by the end of the year it plans to enter the list of four major smartphone manufacturers.

Mr. Chou noted that the company that had created a number of high-performance smartphones, including the HTC EVO 4G, will continue to stay in the center of everybody’s interest.

It’s also noteworthy that though many analysts thought the sales of the HTC devices were doomed to failure, it didn’t happen, since the marketers of HTC made the emphasis on financially well-off countries, including Germany, France and the UK, and payed less attention to the countries that were more affected by the crisis (Portugal, Spain, Greece, Italy and many others).
