It is a must for every responsible smartphone owner to know the size and resolution of their handset’s screen. I would be wrong of course to say that some like smaller screens and some bigger. No, the recent tendency is to like smartphones with bigger and bigger displays. It is not a matter of showing off, but a matter of practical usability. The bigger screens naturally are more readable, allow more space for viewing available application buttons, and make it more comfortable to write messages or take notes.
Obviously the two leaders in this sense are the Samsung Galaxy Note and the HTC Titan. The latter with its 4.7 huge screen was considered the sole king before the appearance of the Galaxy Note boasting of a 5.3-inch Super AMOLED display. Many big screen fans who bought the HTC Titan regret not having waited until the launch of the Galaxy Note. Here though other factors should be taken into consideration. The HTC Titan runs WP, and the Galaxy Note is an Android device, so it would be interesting to imagine how WP OS would run on the Galaxy Note.
