The sequel of the original Titan was announced at CES 2012. Since then we have heard different speculations regarding the device. The last rumor says HTC’s next super-phone will be launched on March 18. The only thing hindering the launch could be federal government’s decision or its lack, but it’s no longer a serious worry as the HTC Titan II has passed FCC doors.
Earlier we saw the phone with AT&T branding and knew it would support the carrier’s newly-spreading LTE network. The FCC approval shows all these conversations are true and the Titan II will work on AT&T’s LTE network providing faster connectivity.
Other than that, the HTC Titan II is packed with the same monster-sized 4.7-inch S-LCD capacitive touchscreen, surprisingly a 1.5GHz single-core processor, a 16MP camera with autofocus and dual-LED flash shooting photos with a resolution of 4640×3480 pixels, a 1.3MP frontal camera for web chat and an improved battery. The phone looks attractive.
Judging by the comments I have read most users don’t understand why the manufacturer has decided to launch the Titan II so soon and why it will be released via the same carrier. Of course, there were unpleasant cases with the original Titan and its bugs, but which handset doesn’t face them? However, HTC has announced it will release fewer devices. As HTC states, they will be more powerful and perhaps the Titan II is but the beginning of the Taiwanese manufacturer’s new age.
