HTC Titan Available from Retailer Stores?

Nobody expected HTC to announce the largest smartphone running Windows Phone 7.5 Mango — the HTC Titan. And now, while some carriers are still on their way to announce the device, different third-party retailer stores are already offering the smartphone.

Electronics retailer MyTrendyPhone.com has announced that the HTC Titan units are “in stock – ready to ship.” This means that soon the customers will get the chance to buy the handset from the retailer. The price for this extra-large display smartphone from the retailer store is $870. Actually, this is not that expensive for a contract-free device as most of the earlier calculations from the experts were reaching something like $850. Paying some additional $20 for a chance to get this smartphone earlier than the rest of the potential customers is worth it.

The European launch of the handset is expected to take place on October 4. So those customers who are in favor to sign contracts with carriers still have to wait for a while.

Just for a reminder we should mention that the device is working with 850/900/2100 MHz bands for Europe and Asia, so the Northern American customers will not be able to use the device in their home country. But HTC promised to make the necessary changes for the U.S. and Canadian customers, so that the device will also get a chance to have a Northern American release, too.
