Do you remember the first 4G-enabled device of Verizon Wireless? I believe you do because the HTC Thunderbolt was promoted very well and managed to win hearts of many geeks. Now that there are a myriad of smartphones supporting LTE network, the HTC Thunderbolt has gone to the background. But agree it’s unfair, as we should honor “veterans.” Probably this is why Big Red is that attentive to the T-Bolt — a new update is coming.
Verizon is almost ready to push out an OTA update in size of 36Mb, which will bring the T-Bolt up to software version 2.11.605.9. It comes with many bug fixes and includes the following improvements:
- Resolved issue with contact ringtones
- Improvements to notification volume
- Updated local streaming playback mechanism when network connection is not available
- Updated Twitter API for Peep/FriendStream
- Clock app included in All App list
- Improvements in Exchange ActiveSync.
As the update will come over-the-air, there is no need to check out whether it is already available or not, because you’ll get the corresponding notification. But if you are skeptic and want to check it yourself, you can always go to Settings > Software Update > Check Now. Let us know if it is there.
