HTC Thunderbolt to Get ICS Update By the End of August

I used to think HTC was done updating its Gingerbread running smartphones to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. But it turns out I was being mistaken. When an update is being to late, users somehow become oblivious of it. It’s the exact case with the HTC Thunderbolt owners who seem to have forgotten there is an ICS update for their phones as well.

According to HTC’s official Facebook account, the ICS update for the Thunderbolt is on the way and will arrive before the end of August. Moreover, they also claim the ICS updates designed for all the other HTC phones will be finished at the mentioned time. Nevertheless, it should be noted that rolling out updates and finishing them are two different things, so HTC might have meant something else.

A couple of weeks later we’ll see whether the company was serious when making this statement or not, but it’s pleasant to see that HTC is quick at responding to consumer questions.
