The HTC Thunderbolt is one of the most popular smartphones nowadays, but it has many strange issues, including the permanent rebooting problem. We knew an OTA update was going to be released in the end of June, but no details were known about it. Now Android and Me shows some leaked pics, according to which the OTA update for the HTC Thunderbolt is coming on June 30.
Here is the first leak provided by some Verizon Wireless insider of Android and Me:
And here is the second one:
According to the leaked document, it’s not going to be just an update, it will have a number of really impressive additions, namely Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread (plus gTalk video compatibility that comes with it), pre-installed Amazon Appstore and Skype video functionality will be included.
Do you think all of this sounds too good to be true? To tell the truth, we also think so… Especially if we take into consideration the fact that Android and Me’s Verizon insider says the list of the additions of the update is not final, and some changes can still be made before the end of the month. However, June 30 really seems to be the final date of the HTC Thunderbolt’s OTA update release.
