The fact of getting new devices makes all of the carriers to get prepared for the launch of those. This means that they need to get rid of the old stuff and to free some space for the newcomers.
This is the exact case with Verizon Wireless. We already heard about the news that Verison has plans to introduce HTC Thunderbolt on the March 4th. This means that there needs to be some kind of gadget which will fulfill the list of the “kicked outs”. And what is the most amazing, that this time it’s not a single gadget but a whole series.
Verizon Wireless decided that the Droid series has been leading it’s list of high-end gadgets for too long. The lineup included not only Motorola gadgets as it was expected from the name, just like Motorola Droid 2 Global Edition or Motorla Droid Pro but also such smartphones as HTC Droid Incredible.
For the same two-year agreement, the carrier is offering reduced price for the entire lineup. Let’s say that now you can hardly call this group a high-end device group, more precisely it can be called a middle-range one.
HTC Thunderbolt, which will be the first LTE connectivity support gadget of the carrier, is going to be followed by three other LTE gadgets. This means that the carrier is planning to replace its Droid series with LTE one.
The overall idea is not that bad, especially considering the fact that Droid gadgets can no longer surprise the customers due to the appearance of newer technological innovations for the gadgets.
