We already know about the fact that HTC Thunderbolt is not going to have a release date on February 14 and it’s going to face a delay for quite a long period ( the new release date remains a secret). And the most funny thing is that this did not stop the retailers to start the sales of the original accessories. One of those retailers is Best Buy, which is planning to release HTC Thunderbolt accessories before the arrival of the 4G LTE device itself. The accessory list is going to include only two items for now, but most likely the list will be enlarged with the appearance of the gadget itself.
Best Buy is going to offer two different types of cases for the smartphone. The first one will be the Platinum case with the belt clip for $34.99 and the second one is going to be a gel case from Rocketfish, which will be slightly cheaper and will go on sale for $24.99.
Most of the time when Best Buy starts the announcement of this or that accessory the devices come up in a week or so. This means that we can still have a hope for some kind of early release date. The date when the accessories will be available from Best Buy is already known. It’s going to be on February 19. So that the very early release date of 24 might be a reasonable response from Verizon.
HTC Thunderbolt might arrive sometime soon as at MWC there are tons of new phones from HTC that are much advanced and it won’t be worth to have the release of the device after the announcement and release of those.
