In the beginning of December, 2010 Cypress Semiconductor announced they would cooperate with HTC, which is going to bring True Touch solutions to its new Windows Phone 7-powered smartphones – HTC Mozart and HTC Surround. Both phones are high-end smartphones and equipped with many useful and awesome features. So till we meet the new True Touch controllers, let’s see what specs the handsets come with.
The HTC Surround sports a 3.8 –inch multi-touch screen with pinch-to-zoom capability, but the main advantage of the phone is its slide-out speaker which provides Dolby Mobile and SRS WOW HD. The phone comes via AT&T.
The HTC Mozart is equipped with a 3.7-inch multi-touch screen with pinch-to-zoom capability too. According some geeks, it is slim, smart and strong. This phone also offers virtual surround sound with SRS WOW HD. The HTC Mozart is available via T-Mobile.
Cypress has offered TMA340 controllers for these smartphones, as they provide latest-generation performance. For the fastest and most accurate touchscreen user experience the devices are equipped with an integrated analog sensing engine. This means it allows tracking of multiple fingers simultaneously. All these actions are being made without any delays or problems. The controllers also offers offer Cypress’s legendary noise immunity and very low power consumption. I guess you’ll agree with me it’s an ideal combination for smartphone market.
The True Touch solution is supported in the Windows Phone 7. This helps HTC to implement its touchscreen interfaces without the need for developing external drivers or custom software development, and the last save the company’s time. Don’t you think, it’s profitable for both firms.
