As usual, the enthusiasts from the XDA Developers are keeping themselves busy. Once again they are demonstrating a new thing that is still not available from the official sources. A developer who calls himself capychimp rmk40 offers a special custom build assembly for the HTC Desire HD and the HTC Desire Z. The build is based on the “leaked” firmware of the HTC Kingdom Gingerbread. This novelty has leaked not long ago, so the XDA developers are pretty fast!
With this assembly these two devices will at last get the chance to run the new 3.0 version of the Sense UI. We know that the devices have already been attached to the www.htcsense.com, but it actually didn’t make any changes. This is rather interesting, as the website is originally designed for the update of the HTC Sense UI for these two smartphones.
If you are one of the owners of the HTC Desire HD or the HTC Desire Z, we suggest you to follow this link and go to the XDA forum page where you can download the build, view all the details about the assembly, and read user reviews. We think that soon the firmware will be available for other HTC smartphones of the third generation.
