Finally HTC officially announced the HTC Rezound. It’ll be the first device coming with Beats Audio technology in the US. This week it’s the third device announced by Verizon. The previous two were the Motorola Droid RAZR and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
The HTC Rezound comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread (most likely next year it’ll be upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich), a 4.3 inch display with a resolution of 1280 × 720, HTC Sense UI, a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, an 8 megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash and 1080 p video capturing capabilities, LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Blutooth 3.0, 16 GB of internal memory with additional 16 GB memory card support and 1620 mAh battery.
The only disappointing feature is definitely the battery. I’m not sure the 1620 mAh battery will be able to provide long lifetime to the smartphone. Most likely the manufacturer will later provide a hardware update to deal with the battery life.
The handset will go on sale on November 14 at the price of $299. Verizon will be the exclusive carrier to offer the device.
